What in the world is going on here? I see some reviews that state you MUST go here for breakfast! HUH? Let me explain something.. I would rather dig through the BFI dumpster out back, yeah, ya know, the one that has not been changed in three weeks, and find a crumpled up McDonald's bag than eat breakfast again at this joint... We were here about two months ago, sorry for the delay (I just got my stomach realigned from eating here) and just got out of the Hospital.. (JOKING).. Kind of, but not really.. Anyway... We hopped in there to eat a nice breakfast after being out the night before drinking quite heavily (which I would have done that morning had I known my experience here in advance) but alas... We arrive, stand in the doorway (no joke) good 5 minutes, people look at us, not a peep, no one says anything.. Finally, someone, I swear to God I think it was a dishwasher.. asked if we had been helped ( I WAS STARVING) borderline psychotic and said NO.. A young girl said it would be a few minutes to get a table ready.. I looked at the dining room.. Hmmm.. ONE table had patrons, one! and the dining room took me back to my FRAT party days.. You know what I am talking about.. That stale disgusting after party smell.. The rugs with crap on it that you don't even want to think about.. Plastic cups everywhere, spilt food.. YUP.. That's just what it looked like... We asked if we could just sit and eat at their very small bar.. She said sure.. MISTAKE... NO bartender... So, we sat and watched the USA basketball team.. I was pouring mustard on my arm, napkin tucked nicely under my chin, about to dig in and finally a bartender arrived.. So, we placed our orders.. 45 minutes later our food came out (only 6 people had come in since we sat at the bar) 45 freaking minutes! No one EVER asked if we wanted more water, coffee or juice.. ow, sadly, I do not remember what my Brother or Girlfriend ordered.. I do remember they said it sucked badly.. My food?? I think you can guess where I am going here.. Freaking GROSS!! Bacon? yeah, BURNED to a crisp.. I had my dentist on emergency dial on my cell after one bite.. Eggs? tasted OLD.. I think they found the oldest freaking eggs they could and said give it to the starving guy he won't care.. ordered pancakes.. where were they? No one knew... They did arrive, it was okay because i was picking my teeth out of my eggs.. These pancakes were the absolute WORST I have ever had in my life.. Frozen pancakes from the grocery store put these to SHAME!! Put butter on them, didn't even melt, cut in to them, yeah they totally fell apart.. I can guarantee you.. Homeless nomads in the Sahara, yeah.. If they pick up sand and dump it down their throats, yup, would be better... Honestly, stay away, worst place I have ever been in my life for breakfast.. If you go for dinner.. i would suggest notifying the coroner in advance.. Below based on 5 stars... SERVICE 1/2 FOOD 1/2 ATMOSPHERE 1/2 DECOR 1/2 (DISGUSTING RUGS/ ROOM A DISASTER) RESTROOM 1/2 (NOT EVEN CLEANED, DISGUSTING) OVER 1/2

I had heard good things about this place, so decided to check it out for dinner. We arrived on a Saturday night in August at about 6:30 and we were the only party in the whole place. We were seated promptly (of course.) The food? Just OK. My daughter and I split the chicken broccoli ziti. Not much chicken and what there was has been cut and sliced long before we arrived. Pasta overcooked and limp. The flavor was OK. My son had chicken fingers that he liked. The menu looked good and the wait staff was friendly. It was OK, but there are better places nearby. Haven't been for breakfast, which I still hear is great.

We stopped here for breakfast this morning, as it is super close to our hotel. I got chocolate chip pancakes, my stepmom got blueberry pancakes, my dad got normal pancakes with an English muffin, and my brother got eggs over easy with homemade cornbeef hash. First off, the restaurant is clean. Kinda crowded, but not overly so. We had a really nice waitress who had a French accent, but her English was superlative and we had no problems understanding her. The chocolate chip pancakes were not on the menu, so I asked for them, and luckily enough they were here. Two pancakes come out and they were topped with butter and chocolate chips. I also got a side of bacon, which was of the precooked variety. The reason for the deduction of two stars is because the CC pancakes automatically come out with butter. Probably more of a user error than anything, however I feel like it's common sense to at least ask if you would want butter on them since chocolate and butter do not mesh well (for me, at least). The other reason is my dad has a strong distaste for butter, and he ordered his EM toasted with no butter, and it came out grilled and slathered in it. The waitress was gracious and kind and rectified the situation immediately. So even though the two situations were easily fixable, I just wish that the kitchen cooks listened a bit more. Overall, it was a great experience and I will go back for breakfast another time.

we when here for breakfast and it was very good -- a must go for breakfast if you are at OOB. Dinner not so much. we had the nacho apps and the dirty fries and they were huge and good not great,, looking back at it I wish we would have stopped there. we got dinner. I had the chicken ceasar salad --not recomended reheated chicken over a salad with some grated parm chesse all over and dressing was not impresive at all. my sister had the buffalo chicken wrap a same chicken and very little buffalo sauce - she was not the fan. Wife had the burger and it was very dry and blahh, godchild had the lobster roll and he liked it alot but very pricey. and my bother-in-law had the steak salad and there was pleaty of steak and he enjoyed it. so the final is I would go back for breakfast but not fo dinner.. Note the ownership has changed this year and maybe he will get better and go back to the old menu that was there before add some draft beers..

We had such a delicious meal here!! We ordered fried calamari, shrimp cocktail, and the crab cakes to start. The aioli with the crab cakes was incredible with the perfect amount of heat! For dinner we each had a surf & turf. Lobsters were fresh and perfect. The NY Strip was incredibly tender and juicy!! They also do a twin lobster dinner for $19.99!! You will not be disappointed!

We were there last night, and it was entertaining to say the least. Waitress forgot to order our drinks, forgot to bring water, forgot the rolls. She was busy learning how to speak French. Food was mediocre at best. Overcooked salmon that was tasteless , and hubby that an interesting version of chicken cordon bleu. Interesting being the operative word. If you are looking for a good meal, go to Joseph's by the sea, or huots.

Just got back from vacation in OOB, and happened to have a fun night here. I can't remember being here at night before, except for dinner with my parents when I was little. On our way home from a night out in the square, we walked past the BB, and noticed a decent crowd in there, doing karaoke. They were rather boisterous and seemed to be having a good time, so we went in. We grabbed a corner table and settled in to watch the show. I'm fairly sure they were locals, because the karaoke guy had a nickname for each of the ridiculously skimpily dressed 50-something women and beer-gut guys who took turns on the mic. The people-watching (literally) was top-notch. They had $2 jello shots, and the beers were ice cold. The people were friendly, we had fun chatting with some of the other patrons and the people singing didn't mind at all when we laughed at the singing. It was definitely a good place to hit for last call, or longer.

I ate here while on my anniversary vacation with my boyfriend over Memorial Day weekend. We stayed at the Beau Rivage hotel across the street so the location was very convenient. We ate there twice on our trip. Both times the service was good. The atmosphere was casual, cute, fun & beachy. The first time was for breakfast. I had really yummy Maine blueberry pancakes with 100% maple syrup. They were perfectly stuffed & covered with blueberries. My boyfriend had lobster benedict with home fries. He really liked it even though he's never had anything like that before. I helped him eat his home fries. They were tasty, but slightly undercooked. I prefer my home fries crispy. We went there a second time for dinner on the last night of our trip. I had a strawberry daiquiri, French onion soup, salad, & over-sized spinach & cheese raviolis in a cream sauce. I loved the soup best of all! I thought the cream sauce was way too thick & I didn't like the filling of the raviolis because it was to goopy. My boyfriend had some type of grilled fish dinner which he enjoyed with a baked potato & corn on the cob. I would eat here again if I go back to Old Orchard Beach ME.
